Q: Can we reduce homelessness? A: I’ll believe it when I see it.
Polling shows that a supermajority of voters (84%) believe homelessness can be radically reduced. But 1 in 2 say that to feel confident progress is happening, they need to see it with their own eyes.
Across the country, communities are working to reduce homelessness. The challenge is making that progress visible. As communicators, we need to “show and tell” and leverage the power of visual storytelling to make an invisible story visible.
On Tuesday, April 28, from 10-11:30 a.m. PT / 1-2:30 p.m. ET, we hosted a town hall to explore new public opinion research and share practical ways to use visual storytelling to make progress clear, credible, and impossible to ignore.
Watch the recording if:
- You’re a data person and find yourself wondering, “What does the public think about the state of homelessness?”
- You’re a communications person who wants practical pointers for how to tell a sticky story about how your city or town is radically reducing street homelessness.
- You’re an implementation person who regularly gets out in the community alongside outreach teams, or otherwise — bonus points if you’re handy with a smartphone!
