Session 5: The Art of Asking Questions

August 27, 2021

In order to grow as a data analyst, we must learn how to dive deeper into the questions we encounter on a day-to-day basis. In addition to developing our own question-asking skills, we must also model for our communities what it means to be curious and open as it relates to data. Topics include:

  • The aptitudes and attitudes of good question askers
  • The Five Whys and how they help you find the root cause of questions
  • How the Five Whys contributes to strategic decision-making

We also discussed the future of the Data Fellowship and how BfZ can continue to support data skill development
