We are so excited to be convening this November in Denver, Colorado! We’ll reunite with colleagues near and far as we review aims, milestones, and key strategies. There will be designated time to share ideas with peer leaders from across the U.S. and learn about emergent solutions, while also celebrating milestones and achievements in the movement to end homelessness.
What is a Learning Session
The Built for Zero network gathers in person for Learning Sessions for a chance to reconnect, take a break from busy schedules, and unite as community teams. These events involve reflecting on goals, evaluating progress, gaining insights from peers nationwide, and revitalizing efforts to end homelessness.
Additionally, we will share innovative ideas and hear from industry experts and partners. Our approach combines strategic planning, continuous learning, and networking with an element of energy and fun.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the address of the conference hotel?
All activities will be at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center at 6700 N Gaylord Rockies Blvd, Aurora, Colorado, 80019
When should I plan on arriving and departing from Denver?
Programming will begin with a Welcome Brunch on Wednesday, November 5, from 9:00 – 10:15 a.m. MST, followed by an Opening Plenary at 10:30 a.m. MST. We recommend teams arrive on Tuesday to ensure they can fully participate in programming on Wednesday. Learning Session programming will conclude after lunch on Friday, November 7, and we encourage teams to book travel out of Denver that evening.
How do I get to the Learning Session venue hotel from the local airports?
If you are flying into Denver International Airport, taking a taxi or a ride-share service like Uber or Lyft is a good option for getting to the hotel.
What parking options are available if I’m driving to the Learning Session?
The Gaylord Rockies Resort offers parking at the following rates:
VALET PARKING RATES
Overnight Valet $48.00

What if I need to cancel my hotel room after the cancellation deadline?
Please contact the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center directly to change your reservation. You are responsible for booking your own lodging. If you need to cancel your hotel room, we advise you to cancel before the cancellation window closes. If you cancel after the cancellation window, you will be responsible for all charges.
How do I register for the Learning Session?
Registration for the Learning Session opens July 28th.
Is there a maximum number of people from my community who can attend?
Yes, each community can register up to eight people to attend.
How do I decide who should attend from my community?
We recommend prioritizing your Team Lead and Data Lead. For the additional slots, we recommend including other members from your core improvement team.
Keep the event objectives listed above in mind as you prioritize who will attend this Learning Session, and consider inviting those who would be most able to provide feedback from across your system during these conversations, particularly people with lived experience of homelessness.
Why should I stay at the conference hotel instead of somewhere else nearby?
We recommend staying at the conference hotel to ensure your team has an exceptional Learning Session experience!
Your team will have the best possible experience if you reserve a room on-site at the official conference hotel, the Gaylord Rockies Resort. Staying on-site will give your team more time to network, easily join sessions, and soak up knowledge from peers across the Built for Zero Network.
We have reserved a hotel block that locks in the lowest possible price at this hotel. The rooms in the hotel block are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Last year, they sold out very quickly, and Built for Zero is not able to support securing hotel accommodations once this block is full. Reserve your rooms in our exclusive room block now to secure a competitive rate and enjoy the perfect blend of comfort and convenience!
Will travel stipends be offered?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer communities travel stipends this year. As always, the conference is completely free and all meals will be provided for participants.
